Devotion

Devotion is an homage to the things I hold on to: dried out eucalyptus leaves hardly smelling of summer holidays anymore. A vintage ink bottle beloved of my grandmother. A costume jewellery rosary salvaged from my parents’ theatre group, adorned with a wooden cotton reel by my young son.

This piece is painted in oils, which I use exclusively for their smoothness, flexibility and wonderful blending ability.
