White Female Scenting the Summers of its Youth
‘White female scenting the summers of its youth’ is part of my Human/Nature series, exploring the connection between humanity and the natural world. The human-like primates in this series could be both ancestors and descendants, prompting reflection on what it means to be part of a species. These primal beings, deeply connected to nature, are an antidote to what, to me, feels like the overwhelmingness of modern life.
This piece is painted in oils, which I use exclusively for their smoothness, flexibility and wonderful blending ability.
