Pen and ink

Pen and ink was painted during my residency at the Wellington Botanic Gardens in 2023. The gardeners would bring me treasures for my compositions – the most wonderful being this gorgeous dragonfly.

This piece is painted in oils, which I use exclusively for their smoothness, flexibility and wonderful blending ability.
